Case story
Shoreline Protection, Sigandu Beach
Indonesia, North Java
Sigandu beach has receded by approximately 5m as a consequence of severe coastal erosion problems. The breakwater structure was constructed with a primary Geotube® unit and scour aprons were installed at the base of the tube for stability and to prevent its foundation from scouring.

With increasing concerns for the environment, rising costs and scarcity of resources, the Geotube® system proved to be a succesful and cost effective solution for Sigandu beach over conventional methods.
