The installation of TenCate Geotube® systems began at the end of end April 2006 and was completed in December of the same year. In total 18,000 metres of TenCate Geotube® systems were supplied.
TenCate Geotube® systems from TenCate Geosynthetics were selected to construct the core of the guide dams required to create a shelter for vessels to enter from the Markermeer into the Naviduct.
The Mediterranean Coast on the French Riviera is regularly battered by heavy seas and storms. TenCate Geotube® systems and scour aprons were installed in sections as offshore submerged breakwaters.
The famed white sand beaches of Cancun, Mexico have been pounded mercilessly by storms in recent years. TenCate Geotube® containers were installed for the emergency shoreline protection and restoration effort.
